One Bedroom Apartments in Auburn AL

If you’re apartment-hunting on a limited budget, like I was when I moved to Auburn AL to attend Auburn University, you’re gut reaction might be to look for small, one-bedroom apartments.  At least that was how I did it, but of course I found out soon enough that cheaper deals can be had by looking for a 3- or 4- bedroom apartment and splitting the rent with roommates.  Two problems with this is that you need to look for willing roommates you’ll get along with, and that your privacy goes down the drain.  In my case, privacy was more important so I adjusted my budget a bit and kept looking for a one-bedroom apartment.  The following is my shortlist.

Courtyards At Auburn is at N. Dean Road, Auburn AL and the one-bedroom units come at $435 base, with one bath.  Extras include gym, swimming pool, tennis court, sundeck, and of course you have the necessities like laundry, internet and cable access.  Basic but nice, although the campus is not within walking distance.

If you’re into wood-burning fireplaces and vaulted ceilings (these are actually their big selling points), Logan Square Apartments in West Glenn Ave. Auburn has those.  It also has a putting green.  Pricey (what did you expect?) but it is very nice, within walking distance of the Auburn University campus, and as they say in the brochure, you deserve to “live large” at Logan Square.

The Westshore Landing Apartments in Auburn Al is on East University Drive has a jacuzzi, a pool, tennis courts, and is very near an assortment of restaurants ranging from fastfood to fine dining.  It’s also very near the campus, and one could walk to classes on a nice day.

Eagles West Apartments Auburn AL

Conveniently across Auburn University, Eagles West Apartments provide great convenience to its student tenants. They can reach the campus in just a few steps or thru the Tiger Transit Bus system when the weather is uncooperative. At the same time, residents are in close proximity for football gatherings or fraternity activities.

After an extensive renovation, residents of this apartment community enjoy new interiors, hardwood floors and crown  moldings. Each one bedroom or two bedroom units have washers/dryers and spacious closets.

A standard one bedroom can be leased for 600 $ while the standard two bedroom rate is at 1, 150 $. The rates are kinda cheap but residents will shoulder electricity, cable and internet. Pets are allowed but residents will pay 200 $ non refundable pet fee.Application fee is at 30 $ while security deposit costs one month’s rent. As an added convenience, its own website allows online payment.

Reviews on this apartment are inconclusive but I guess it’s worth checking yourself.

Campus Courtyard Apartments Auburn AL

Campus Courtyard Apartments at Magnolia Avenue in Auburn, Alabama is just right across the street from the University Campus. Tenants can’t get any closer that this.

It is composed of unique townhouse style furnished units that provide the basic amenities for all tenants, most especially, students.  Rental rates range from $ 595 – 730. There are only 40 units so prepare for the possibility of it being fully occupied.

The reviews I gathered on this apartment complex are encouraging though they are a bit old. It isn’t bad to check the apartment yourself.  The leasing office may be contacted to see the actual units.

Take note also that Campus Courtyard does not allow pets and deposit amount to full month rent.
