Auburn is one of the communities recognized as Tree City USA.
On February 28, 2009, tree seedlings will be given away to citizens along with planting instruction as part of Arbor Day celebration in Auburn, Alabama.
This activity is undertaken as part of the continued greening of Auburn and because winter is the best time to plant most trees.
The tree seedlings will be distributed starting 9 am to 12 noon or until all have been distributed at Kroger on Dean Road, Wal-Mart on South College Street, the Auburn University Arboretum and the Corner Market on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive/Highway 14.

This apartment is just a block away from the Unversity and is located along East Magnolia Avenue.
Its main difference among other apartment rentals in the area is that it offers furnished bedrooms. A one furnished bedroom, one bathroom is reasonably priced at 385 $ only. The usual one bedroom one bathroom unit is just 365 $. The minimum lease term for Plainsman Apartments is 10 months and requires a full month security deposit.
Pet lovers would turn their backs on this apartment community as pets are not welcome at all.
