“The first two games were very vanilla on the basis of two groups they have played. There was only chalk flight of the first half, making changes,”he said.

“We adjusted to it in the second half and hit on several big plays.

Auburn ran only six plays in the first quarter and struggled for yards. “Tigers” are ready with 424 its big second half.

Cam Newton finished 7-of-14 passing for 203 meters and two touchdowns.

Clemson University versus Auburn University

Clemson University and Auburn University are hooked up in a wild showdown that is deadlocked in the fourth quarter after massive momentum swings on both sides. Auburn posted the first 17 points in the game before proceeding to spot Clemson the next 24, only to answer with a short rushing touchdown to even things at 24.

Sixteenth-ranked Auburn managed just three points in an anemic first half but posted 21 during the third quarter, scoring all of the points in the frame behind a trio of touchdowns in a matter of a little more than seven minutes, the latter two coming from the arm of quarterback Cameron Newton.

Despite the stretches of dominance by both sides, the stats illustrate a game that is about as even as possible. Auburn holds a slim 20-yard edge in total yards at 376-356, with Clemson narrowly out-passing the Tigers, 208-196. Auburn has a 180-148 advantage in yards on the ground, but Clemson holds the all-important edge in time of possession, holding the ball for 30:55 to 18:29 for the Tigers.

There is certainly more pressure on Auburn in this contest, as it enters as the only ranked team among the two and is also playing in front of a home crowd. Both squads are 2-0, but a defeat would certainly hurt Auburn more than Clemson. That makes Auburn the more desperate team, which is always dangerous.

And yet Clemson doesn’t seem particularly concerned, having posted the first 17 points of the game and the most crucial touchdown moments ago.
