Nob Hill Apartments at 834 Golden Gate Lane, Birmingham, AL is under new management, and it seems to be better at addressing the concerns of tenants. It wouldn’t really be big news if the problems were with rats or roaches, or if it was lack of parking and the like, although the apartment has had and still has these problems. The thing is that there were a rash of robberies in the area, there are at least three cars parked here that I know of that were broken into, and at least one apartment break in. Thankfully I’ve been spared so far and I’m taking extra precautions.
It’s a pity because Nob Hill Apartments is quite well priced for its location, halfway between Samford University (where my son studies) and the University of Alabama. It is pretty easy to get to everything from here, like the mall and restaurants and hospitals.
Anyway, being just me and my son, I started with a small unit at around $500 and have since moved up to a slightly bigger unit in the same apartments for only $50 more. There are bigger units and the price goes up but not by much. As I said, it’s a good deal for a place so near to school and everywhere else we might want or need to go in Birmingham, so I’m praying the rash of robberies stop soon.
