Apartment Rental Rates in Auburn AL may drop
February 23rd, 2009 -- Posted in Auburn Apartments | No Comments »Businessweek reported that the apartment rental rates in the country plummeted as another ugly effect of the economic crisis. With the help of survey company, Axiometrics, 25 Metros from across the United States have been named as having the biggest drop in rental rates.
Birmingham, Alabama’s cultural center and 23rd on the list, rental rates in the area dropped to 2 percent. Companies are downsizing resulting to increased unemployment. Unemployment make families move in with family members to save apartment rental fees. Apartment communities then increase vacancies, forcing the landlords to cut on rates and accept concessions.
This scenario may also happen to Auburn, Alabama. If it does, experts advise that it is a good time to take on a long term lease. If your lease is set to expire, heeding the expert advice seems a sound decision. Moreso, if you really like living in your apartment community.
